The seemingly insignificant moments make your day special 💔

For years you prepare yourself mentally and psychologically for this moment.

For years you have known that this moment will become a harsh reality.

For years you know that at some point you have to let that one loved one go.

However, the knowledge does not make it easier to say goodbye forever. When the moment arrives, it feels like time is running away, like you've missed capturing important moments. Once you would love to experience so much more with this one person. Or to tell him/ her again how much you love him/ her, even though you said it every day and showed it in what you did for him.

However, at times it is painful. Because in the most insignificant situations you become aware of what happened. The sadness and the pain constricts your throat and you have the feeling that you would choke on the unshed tears.

It's the key moments when all of this hits you without warning like an arrow in your heart. Fast and razor sharp. Be it when you see her/ his favorite chocolate in the store, smell the perfume or come home and you walk up the stairs and usually this loved one greets you every day and suddenly from one day to the next not anymore.

It's the little moments that make your day special. The seemingly insignificant moments. And when these are gone, you have to create new moments, otherwise it will kill you from the inside and make you suffocate from the loss.

But deep down in your heart you know that this person would have wanted you to be happy, to go on with your life and that you will experience many beautiful new moments for them. Because this valuable person lives on in EVERYONE of us and accompanies us throughout our lives. And who knows if we'll meet again someday?
